A Couple of Encouraging Comments

From: Judy in Menomenee Falls:

My sisters and I played this game with my mom, several times a week, over several years. She passed away last December, however, my 10 year old grandson asked for the game for Christmas so we hope to keep it going.

Judy, it’s always good to hear of the younger generation playing and enjoying the game with family.  Thank you!!

From: Lynn in Lancaster:

Thank you so much for the quick set of hand and foot cards. I was able to get the set wrapped and sent home with son’s family so they will have it for their Christmas.

Lynn, another motto of ours is to provide the best service we can give.  It’s always nice to hear our service helped in the timing of a gift given.

Leesburg, FL

Hi all!  To all of our players in Leesburg, FL;  we might want to consider a change to a street name there. Because Harbor View Drive  is being seemingly taken over by American Hand n Foot players perhaps we could change the street name to something like “AHNF PLAYERS COURT”??

Leesburg, FL is a Growing American Hand n Foot Community!

Leesburg, FL is a Growing American Hand n Foot Community

A few days ago another order came in from the Leesburg community, a player named Lucy.  Today once again an order comes in from the Leesburg community, a player named Pam.  She has just learned to play the game and absolutely loves it.  When asked what specifically she loves about playing the game is, well, she says EVERYTHING!  Then she did point out the added “American” card in our game and how exciting it makes the game for her when she gets one.  Play on Pam and “Enjoy for a Lifetime”!!

Play anyway. You will feel better!!In the tune shown above for the word “song” replace it with “game”.  For the word “Sing” replace it with “Play”.  You WILL feel better!

I’m searching for new photos from our game players.  If you don’t mind having your picture posted on our website send me what you have.  If you have several send them and I’ll do my best to make a short video.  Email to americanhandnfoot@gmail.com

Comment received recently from Rodney in Florida

We just purchased another set of cards; I believe we have purchased over 10 sets for ourselves and friends. We have had a countless number of hours of enjoyment from the game and don’t plan on stopping any time soon!!!

Our New Cards are Shown on our Home Page

The 6 American Hand-n-Foot special playing cards being held up in the photo on our Home Page are showing a new paint job for 2021 and beyond.  It you don’t notice a difference I will tell you what it is….the color on the back covers the entire back of the card, previous cards had the traditional white border around the edges.   Ignore the black outline on the cards, That is there for display on the page.

Hope you like them!!

American Hand-n-Foot Official Rule Change

Hello to all, we hope that you are enjoying your weather, wherever you may be.  It is frigid (23 below zero) here in the Midwest !  Happy Valentine’s Day belatedly!

We have reprinted and made a slight revision on our instruction sheet.  Prior to any revision, we read and discuss the current instructions as well as take into account any comments or suggestions we have received from any of our American Hand-N-Foot players.   With any revision, our goal is to help our players understanding of the game.

The main change is in the play of the Wild card.  We have always maintained in our instructions that when a wild card is discarded it “freezes” the discard pile so the only play for the next player is to draw 2 new cards.

Joan and I discussed this at length,  and feel that it will add another fun “new twist”, thought filled  aspect to the game for the player who is considering what to discard.  Therefore,  in the new printed instruction sheet it will say that if a player discards a Wild card, the next player has the option to pick up from the discard pile, PROVIDING that player has 2 “Wild” cards in their hand.

We hope you enjoy this change.

Service is Alive and Well Here!

Michigan Game Player Talks #familyentertainment!

“Funneling user stories so that as an end result, we create a better customer experience.”

It’s always fun to hear from people who enjoy the AHNF game and are experiencing #familyentertainment!

Following is a note we recently received from one of our game lovers.

Joan: Got our cards today. Thank you. We learned to play American-Hand-N-Foot at our “Over 55” park when we were spending our winters in Texas. I played with the girls and love the game. We taught our husbands to play too.

Now that we are spending our winter in Michigan and are restricted on our activities, my husband and I are playing 1 game every day and keeping track of our wins. This is our favorite pass time-looking forward to it every day.

American-Hand-N-Foot-the game- It’s Really This Family’s go to Game!

We received the below comment today from a good customer and longtime player:

Hi Jerry and Joan–I wanted to thank you for sending all the special American-Hand-N-Foot games! We received them all.

My mother in law lives with us and we’ve played with the game she has for a number of years.

She decided she wanted to give a game to each of her children and grandchildren for Christmas this year since it’s become a favorite family game–so, all 25 games have been wrapped, labeled, and shipped as needed!

Thanks again! Happy Holidays!

WOW!  Thank you for this very nice compliment!

American-Hand-N-Foot Game Reaches Milestone

We have all of you to thank for this to happen; we have shipped American-Hand-N-Foot to 26 of the 48 Continental United States.  Eventually we are hoping to make a claim to have shipped to all the contiguous United States.

Thank you for talking about American-Hand-N-Foot, introducing the game, teaching the game, asking others to play the game and for sure purchasing the game.

This has been a totally fun experience for Joan and myself.  Just listening to your game experiences has made it exciting for us! We often make the comment to each other that if only Norma and Dot were still with us how excited they would be!!

Nice Comment from Florida

I asked Diane how she became an AHnF Player and this is the pleasant response I received;

Our friends brought this game down from Wisconsin.

The rules were so different than the original hand and foot I wasn’t sure I would like it.  It didn’t take long though to become addicted. We play at least four times a week now!

Kind Regards,

When I said to Diane that Wisconsin is the capital of American Hand n Foot she said, “Leedsburg, FL may well become the reining capital!

Thanks Diane,

Group Plays Game for Hours and Hours

Jeannie from MO ordered a game for her brother, who resides in Utah, for his birthday.

What a testimony we heard from Jeannie today!  Sooo Much Fun to listen her story and other very similar stories.  It  is what keeps us going, thank you, thank you!

She says her  group of 7 gets together often at Lake of the Ozarks in MO and when they do it’s a MARTHON game, Playing for as many as 14 hours at a time.  It goes without saying that these folks are longtime friends having gone through grade school, high school and college together.

Jeannie, we hope that our game has not only given your group many hours of fun times but that it has also strengthened your wonderful friendships.

Now that will be very tough to beat, Jeannie!  Thank you!  We are so happy you folks LOVE our game!

Happy Easter

We extend our greeting to all who visit us here and those who play and enjoy our “best card game”.  This Easter will be one that is far different than any I have experienced, more than likely you as well.  Never the less, it is still Easter with the same wondrous meaning so we are sending our sincere wish for you;

Red Chips in Our Card Game, Why?

What is the reason for chips in the game??

Early in the development stage of our game Dot, one of the twin founders, was determined to have something significant to make sure everyone in the game KNEW that a player was in their “Foot” and is likely closer to going out so be aware!

The first thing she came up with was that each of the players were to choose our own unique “sound” for the event.  My “sound” was to use my mouth and blow making a trumpet sound.  The tune was the trumpets “Charge”!  Others had their own unique sounds, it was kind of fun and sort of sappy at the same time!  #familyentertainment

Dot continued to look for something better to use and one day came home with 6 very nice children’s books and proceeded to cut from the book the attached frogs which when pushing downward on the frog it made a croaking noise.  That was our “going into the foot warning” until later Dot making the decision along with Auntie to change these indicators to the presently used red chips.

Hope you can enjoy this little story and that you are staying safe and healthy during these very trying days.

Question re. Best Card Game

January 9, 2020

Is it allowed to add wild cards to a book that is already completed? Wild Card, Flag or Joker to dirty (black) book or Flag only to clean (red) book?

That came up tonight as we were playing.

Hello AHNF best card game Player, greetings from the state of 10,000 lakes!

Thank you for your question. It’s always fun to hear from our game players as you play through these things and have a desire to check it out so everyone is playing the correct way!!

To answer your question: NO, you may not add Wild cards to already completed books.

To help to clarify this for you, none of the Wild cards or Flag card may be played on a book once the book is completed/closed.
The only card that can be played on a completed book is a card that the book is made of. i.e… if your book is made of six’s and closed up you may add a six or six’s.

Part of the process of playing a hand a person may realize they have a lot of wild cards and this makes the individual think beyond the norm as to “how will I handle this” before my neighbor goes out! But, sorry, you may not add Wild cards to already completed books. In that same vein, you may not make a book of only Wild cards and you may not make duplicate books ( i.e. only one book of sixes).

A Faithful AHNF Player

Bonnie has been our Facebook friend 4 years and has been playing the game at least that long! Thank you, Bonnie. You are a valued customer.
